BLACKPINK’s Jennie donates 100 million won in the name of fan club BLINK “Support for settlement of Koryo-saram youth”

On May 16th, the international housing welfare non-profit organization “Habitat for Humanity Korea” announced that BLACKPINK’s Jennie donated 100 million won in the name of the fan club BLINK. The donation aims to support the construction of a school to help Koryo-saram (ethnic Koreans in the post-Soviet states who descend from Koreans who were living in the Russian Far East) youth adapt healthily to Korean culture and society.

The donation will be used for the construction project of Rodem International Alternative School in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, led by Habitat for Humanity Korea. The Rodem International Alternative School serves as a foundation for Koryo-saram youth who have settled in Korea, allowing them to balance their living and academic pursuits. However, due to unsuitable living conditions for group living and the lack of official school accreditation, building a proper school structure is urgently needed.
Habitat for Humanity Korea expressed their gratitude, “We are thankful for Jennie’s heartfelt contribution in the name of the fan club BLINK, helping to build a school where children can nurture their dreams. We will strive for the swift commencement of the construction project.”
Meanwhile, Jennie featured in Zico’s new song “SPOT! (feat. JENNIE)”, which was released at 6 PM on April 26th.
